Job purpose

The main role of this position is to provide IT support and administration of NDP’s business needs as directed by the Leadership Team. This is a multifaceted position that requires an individual who can effectively execute multiple tasks across a broad range of disciplines as needed by a small business.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide day to day IT infrastructure support and administration within the following disciplines:
    • Active Directory (AD)
    • Group Policy Orchestrator (GPO)
    • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO)
    • Security hardening
    • Server and storage administration
    • Laptop and Server builds
    • IT Onboarding for new employees
    • VOIP phone maintenance/provisioning
    • Pulse Secure VPN
    • Google G Suite
    • Office 365
    • Windows and Red Hat administration
    • Printer maintenance
    • End user support
  • Assist in hardware specification and procurement
  • Assist in system and equipment installation, cabling, verification and check-out

Qualifications

Minimum Security Clearance

  • Active Secret DoD Clearance; Must be a U.S. Citizen


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Working knowledge of Windows and RHEL administration (Windows 7/10/Server 2016, RHEL 6/7)
  • Working knowledge of security assessment/compliance products (HBSS, ACAS, OpenSCAP, ePO, SCC)
  • Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi 6
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (IP, Ethernet)

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Management of virtualization, cloud and container technology (VMware workstation/vSphere/vCenter/ESXi, AWS EC2/S3/Glacier, Docker Swarm, Mesosphere DC/OS)
  • Automation with Chef (solo, zero, or server)
  • Administration of OSX
  • Source control with Git (git, Github, GitLab)
  • Management of DNS, DHCP, RADIUS (AD, NPS, Dnsmasq)
  • Management of X.509 Certificates/PKI for SSL/TLS (OpenSSL)
  • Monitoring with Sensu/Nagios, SNMP
  • Administration of: Netbox, GitLab, Jenkins, Confluence, Jira, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, Nginx, Apache Qpid, RabbitMQ, Satellite
  • Scripting experience in at least one language: Shell, Python, PowerShell, or Perl preferred
  • Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-171

 

Education and Training Required

  • Associate degree from an accredited college/university
  • 3 years of applicable experience

Certifications

  • Security +
  • One or more of:
    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Server
    • VMware Certified Associate (VCA)
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

 

Working conditions

NDP main office in Boulder, CO; M-F Day Shift; up to 10 hours of month could be in the evening or on weekends for corporate infrastructure maintenance efforts
